It's funny how like 4 or 5 beer bloggers all had the same craving for oatmeal stout. I like the simple recipe. On mine I stuck to Roasted for the flavor malt. I think that above 160 the enzymes that convert the starches to sugars stop working, meaning your mash is basically mashed out.
