But as for your other question, I think I would start with a similar light beer to the &amp;quot;watered down commerical beers.&amp;quot; I would start with a pilsner, or a belgian wit. Belgian wits, or sometimes referred to as Belgian whites, are light ales that don&amp;#39;t have overpowering flavors, but are more flavorful than your typical American lager. I was never much of a home brew fan, but have recently given it more and more thought after reading all the posts on your blog. You almost convince me. Now for someone who has never much liked dark ales or home brew, what would you suggest as a starting point? &lt;br /&gt;I hate to even admit this on this board, but I was always a fan of the watered down commercial types. But find now as I get older that they are just that, watered down and lacking in substance. Ok, there I said it. Now where to find a good drink in a local watering hole. Any suggestions on what to start with?</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/4501361286897702641/8802486188419175420/comments/default/3576657343932746859'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/4501361286897702641/8802486188419175420/comments/default/3576657343932746859'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.beardedbrewing.org/2009/07/busy-brewing-month.html?showComment=1249935561677#c3576657343932746859' title=''/><author><name>Ocala Web Design</name><uri>http://www.webheadz1.com</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img1.blogblog.com/img/blank.gif'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.beardedbrewing.org/2009/07/busy-brewing-month.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4501361286897702641.post-8802486188419175420' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/4501361286897702641/posts/default/8802486188419175420' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-1095768768'/></entry></feed>
